It's time for a change.

I've been thinking of dividing the food writing and the literature writing into two different blogs for a while now. It just seems better to separate the two things that have been the most important parts of my life. Now the food writing will be here. I hope it will allow me to be more focused, more coherent in my thoughts and my writing. I don't know whether the old posts here will move to the new place; I haven't figured out how to do that without losing the comments which have meant so much to me over the past few years. (For someone of my generation I am ridiculously computer-illiterate).

I'm behind, as usual. Life has been hectic in so many ways. At present approximately two-thirds of my entire library is stacked in piles on my bedroom floor and along the windowsill. New shelves are going up soon; I will probably spend the next week arranging all my books in ways that may or may not make sense. The stack of Things To Read grows higher and more unwieldy each day. But I'll be back soon.
